NFL And College Football Highlights

FOOTBALL

NFL highlights:

After a solid win over the Carolina Panthers, Jim Harbaugh’s LA Chargers are now 2-0 for the first time since 2012.

The NFL’s #1 overall pick, Chicago quarterback Caleb Williams, has been looking pretty shaky in his first two starts. After two William’s interceptions, the Bears weren’t able to muster enough to beat the Houston Texans. Texans 19, Bears 13

Aaron Rodgers and the NY Jets got a 24-17 win over the Tennessee Titans.

Unfortunately for the NY Giants, their kicker got hurt on the opening kickoff. To add insult to injury, their opponent’s kicker, the Washington Commanders Austin Siebert, made a franchise-record seven field goals for a 21-18 win.

The Minnesota Vikings came out to play and surprised the San Francisco 49ers with a strong showing from quarterback Sam Darnold and a fierce defense that sacked Niners quarterback Brock Purdy six times and forced him to turn the ball over twice. The Niner’s star running back, Christian McCaffrey, was placed on injured reserve before the game and is expected to be out for four weeks.

The New Orleans Saints have been exciting to watch so far this season. They destroyed the Dallas Cowboys this week thanks to Saints running back Alvin Kamara, who had four touchdowns.

In College Football News:

Quarterback Quinn Ewers, who seamlessly led Texas to a big win over Michigan last weekend, suffered a strained abdomen in the second quarter. So, backup Arch Manning (nephew of Peyton and Eli Manning) took over and impressed the Heisman oddsmakers. Manning had five touchdowns (including a 67-yard running TD).

Florida State continues to lose. The Seminoles are now 0-3 against unranked opponents.
