Bills Beat Dolphins, Tua Leaves W/Concussion, Pac-2 Expanding, A’ja Wilson Record Points, USC Partners W/Canabis Company

FOOTBALL

On Thursday night, the Buffalo Bills beat the Miami Dolphins 31-10 thanks to three James Cook touchdowns and a dominant defense. The big news during the game was quarterback Tua Tagovailoa suffering his third NFL concussion. He famously got two in 2022 and had to learn “how to fall” to avoid getting more. It’s unclear what Tua’s future looks like going forward with the team and professional football.

In college news, the Pac-12  (currently the Pac-2, consisting of Oregon State and Washington State) is looking to expand to survive as a conference by adding Mountain West schools Boise State, San Diego State, Colorado State, and Fresno State.

BASKETBALL

The Aces superstar A’ja Wilson has recorded the most single-season points in WNBA history. She has 941 points and is likely to surpass 1,000 points this season.

OTHER

The USC Trojans are the first program to partner with a cannabis company. The school announced partnering with Cookies, a cannabis and wellness company. The VP and GM of USC Sports Properties spoke about the partnership and mentioned Cookies as an “innovative brand.”
