NFL Season Begins This Weekend, Eagles Play Packers In Brazil, Kelce Part-Owner Of “Swift Delivery”, Pearsall Shot In SF, Joey Chestnut Sets New World Record

FOOTBALL

The NFL regular season kicks off this weekend. The Philadelphia Eagles will play the Green Bay Packers in Brazil on Friday. However, that game could get canceled due to wildfires in the country.

In other football news, Kansas City Chiefs tight end and Taylor Swift’s boyfriend, Travis Kelce, is a part-owner of the racehorse “Swift Delivery.”

San Francisco 49er rookie Ricky Pearsall was shot in the chest by a 17-year-old who was attempting to rob Ricky in the middle of the day in San Francisco’s Union Square. Thankfully, Pearsall was upgraded from “serious” to “fair” condition but is expected to miss at least four games at the start of the season.

HOT DOG EATING

Joey Chestnut, the GOAT of competitive eating, set a new world record this week by consuming 83 hot dogs and buns. Chestnut defeated his longtime rival Takeru Kobayashi (who downed 67 hot dogs).
