All eyes were on Simone Biles as she clinched the all-around gold in women’s gymnastics, her sixth Olympic gold medal. The win is her first in this event since the 2016 Rio Games and marks a major comeback from when she had to drop out of the Tokyo Olympics for mental health issues. Brazil’s Rebeca Andrade took home the silver, and Biles’ teammate Sunisa Lee took the bronze.

In swimming, Katie Ledecky continues to set records. After swimming the third leg of the women’s 4×200 freestyle relay, she helped propel Team USA to a silver medal, marking the 13th Olympic medal of her career.

In a first, the U.S. women’s fencing team won a gold medal in foil.
