Major League Baseball made some big rule changes in the off-season to quicken the pace of games. Before the game clock rule change, the average time of a spring training game was a little over 3 hours. Now, the spring training games are 23 minutes faster. The only problem is there was some confusion over the weekend when a game ended in a tie due to a pitch clock violation.

As is tradition, the MVP of the Super Bowl goes to Disneyland. Patrick Mahomes was there with his family on Monday, then made an appearance on “Jimmy Kimmel Live” that evening. Chiefs Win Super Bowl After Controversial Call, Rihanna Bad Lip Synching, Best/Worst Commercials
FOOTBALL
The Kansas City Chiefs beat the Philadelphia Eagles 38-35 to win the Super Bowl. This is the Chief’s second Championship in four years. The Eagles were up by 10 points at the half, but the Chiefs rallied back. Then, with 1:54 left in the game, Mahomes lobbed the ball over Juju Smith-Schuster’s head. Everyone thought the Eagles would get the ball back, but a controversial holding call (Eagles cornerback James Bradberry admitted he grabbed the shirt) led the Chiefs to kick a field goal for the win.
Of course, the Super Bowl isn’t just about football. Rihanna lip-synched through the halftime show, and everyone is ranking their favorite commercials.

No commentsDurant Traded To Suns, Westbrook To Jazz, High School Basketball Game Ends 4-2
BASKETBALL
A couple of blockbuster trades before Thursday’s 3:00 pm NBA trade deadline:
Kevin Durant was traded from the Brooklyn Nets to the Phoenix Suns just days after the Nets traded Kyrie Irving to the Dallas Mavericks.
Russell Westbrook is on the move again. The LA Lakers sent him to the Utah Jazz. Westbrook signed a $205 million extension with the Oklahoma City Thunder in 2017 and has been floating from team to team since. The year after he played with the Thunder he went to the Rockets, then the following year to the Wizards, then a year later to the Lakers and now to the Jazz.
An Oklahoma high school basketball game ended with a score of 4-2. This crazy scored occurred because there was no mandatory shot clock, and one of the teams held the ball most of the game to ensure a victory.
