Brown Finished With NFL & Enrolled In School, Danny Dimes, Barkley Sprained Ankle

FOOTBALL

Two days after the New England Patriots released wide receiver Antonio Brown (who has been accused of rape and sexual assault), Brown stated he was “finished with the NFL”. According to Brown’s agent, some teams have expressed interest in signing him, but with Brown in the midst of an investigation, it seems unlikely a team would pick him up anytime soon. In the meantime, Brown has enrolled at Central Michigan University and posted on Instagram his four-class schedule with the caption “Back to School”.

New York Giants rookie quarterback Daniel Jones started on Sunday, replacing veteran Eli Manning. Jones went 23 for 36 for 336 yards with two passing and two rushing touchdowns giving the Giants their first win of the season. An always classy Manning was seen on the sidelines fist bumping Jones after his first TD. Jones has sometime been called “Danny Dimes” meaning “putting the ball on a dime”, and now two NY men have tried to capitalize by trademarking the name. Unfortunately for the Giants though, their superstar running back Saquon Barkley sprained his ankle and is expected to miss several weeks. Giants 32, Buccaneers 31.
