Raptors Take Lead Over Sixers, Denver Blows Out Trailblazers, JPP Suffers Neck Injury

BASKETBALL

Thanks to a huge second quarter, the Toronto Raptors were able to steamroll over the Philadelphia 76ers in game 5 to take a 3-2 lead in the Eastern Conference Semifinal. Raptors 125, 76ers 89

In the Western Conference Semifinals, Denver blew out the Portland Trail Blazers 124-98 putting them one game away from getting to the Western Conference Finals.

FOOTBALL

Tampa Bay Buccaneers defensive lineman, Jason Pierre-Paul, could possibly miss the entire season after he suffered a neck injury in a recent car crash. According to reports, JPP was not accused of any crimes associated with the accident. Pierre-Paul was drafted in the first round of the NFL draft with the #15th overall pick in 2010 by the New York Giants. The Giants traded JPP before last season to the Buccaneers.  This is the second major accident for Pierre-Paul. Back on July 4th, 2015, JPP had to have his finger amputated after a fireworks incident.
