Megatron Retires, Chancellor And Seattle Gym

Calvin JohnsonDetroit Lions’ wide receiver, Calvin Johnson aka “Megatron” announced he is retiring from the NFL. At 30 years old, Johnson is considered one of the most talented wide receivers to have played the game. In a statement to the press announcing his retirement, he expressed his respect for the Lions but also his regret in not bringing them a championship. “To the fans of Detroit and Michigan. I so appreciated your passionate support over the years and truly enjoyed playing for you. I loved playing in Detroit and will forever be a Lion. My biggest regret is that I wasn’t able to help give our fans a championship.” Johnson holds almost every franchise record for the Lions but has been playing through numerous injuries the last few seasons and after 9 years in the League, felt it was time to retire. He will be missed!

In other football news, Seattle Seahawks Strong Safety Kam Chancellor told ESPN about a recent embarrassing incident at a Seattle gym. Kam and some friends stopped at a closed gym to inquire about buying the establishment for a series of women’s boot camp classes An employee of the gym called 911 and Kam and friends were stopped by the police a few blocks from the facility. Kam complained to ESPN that he felt racially profiled. No arrests were made. He said, “The look on her face was disgust. It was a disgusting look like she had seen something that was nasty, something that stunk or something.”
